Chelsea Set To Complete Deal To Sign Exciting Teenage Midfielder

Blues ready to push through a move to sign Partizan Belgrade teenager Danilo Pan.

Chelsea are set to complete a deal to sign teenage Serbian midfielder Danilo Pan from Partizan Belgrade, according to reports from Serbian newspaper Vecemje Novosti, in a deal that echoes their move to sign young Croatian striker Mario Pasalic, who is currently on a season long loan deal at La Liga strugglers Elche.

The report suggests that Chelsea have already agreed a deal to sign 18 year-old Pan, whose contract with Partizan expires at the end of the season, and are looking to agree a compensation fee with the Serbian club within the next few days.

He has already got some experience of playing against Premier League opposition, having featured for 90 minutes in the Europa League group stage clash against Tottenham Hotspur this season, but it is unlikely that a player such as Pan would be coming to Stamford Bridge to tread a path any different to that of Pasalic.

Despite the unlikelihood of Chelsea fans seeing Pan in action for the Blues first team for quite some time, the club’s proactive scouting network and willingness to take risks on young players of this nature can only be seen as a positive.
