According to the Sunday Times, Arsenal are among the sides chasing the unsettled 28-year-old, along with Liverpool and Manchester City, as his future at Old Trafford looks uncertain.

Falcao has not hit his best form since joining United on loan from AS Monaco, but has shown himself to be a world class performer in previous years, with Wenger lauding him as one of the best in the world along with Edinson Cavani.

“Both of them are animals,” Wenger told Bein Sport back in 2013.

“I think Cavani is a bit more mobile, and makes more runs off the ball, and Falcao is a bit more of a box player, a bit more of a killer than Cavani.

“But both of them, I love. And honestly, not to protect one or the other, but it’s very difficult to make a difference between the two.”
