West Ham Boss Sam Allardyce Slams Critics Of His Tactics And Says Tippy-Tappy Football Is ‘B*******’

West Ham boss has backed his tactics in the victory at the weekend…

West Ham United’s Sam Allardyce was jeered by the crowd at Upton Park after a poor first-half showing, but has spoken out in defence of his tactics in the 3-0 victory over Hull City on Sunday.

The Hammers continue their push for a top-four spot in stark contrast to last season’s relegation battle, yet a poor-first half display saw the West Ham boss become the target of boos from the home crowd.

“All this tippy-tappy stuff is all a load of b******s,” Allardyce was quoted by the Mirror.

“Getting the ball into the opposition’s box as quickly as you can with quality and getting it forward and in behind the opposition is definitely the best way forward.

“That’s what we did in the second half and why we won the game.”

The Irons’ tactics came under scrutiny last season from the fans, with many disagreeing with their side’s tactics, and coincidentally Allardyce was also booed in the 2-1 victory over Hull City last season for the same reason – yet this season has seen the East London side edging towards a Champions League spot.

Big Sam proved on Sunday just how valuable playing the ‘ugly’ way can be in getting a result, but it remains to be seen whether West Ham can finish in the top four.
