The Ivorian is currently away on national team duty at the African Nations Cup and his absence was keenly felt during Arsenal’s 2-0 win at the Etihad Stadium on the weekend so news of a possible exit will not go down well with City fans.

The 31 year old has refused to commit to the Premier League title holders and PSG are lining up a £20m bid for the former Barcelona man and should he be sold then City will turn to 21 year old French midfield maestro Pogba.

If City do lose Yaya Toure then arguably there may not be a better long term replacement than Pogba, the former Man United man having become arguably one of the best young talents in world football.

Juventus paid only a compensatory fee for Pogba and over the course of the past two and a half years the rangy midfielder has matured into a world-beater, playing a key role in back to back Serie A title triumphs, though the Italian giants would find it hard to turn down an offer of the magnitude suggested by this source.
