San Lorenzo played Colombia’s Atletico Nacional in Miami on Sunday and won 2-0. It was the second time Nacional had lost a friendly in Miami.

Martin Cauteruccio and Enzo Kalinski grabbed the goals for the Argentines, who led 2-0 at the break before making a raft of substitutions.

The game’s second half was delayed after crowd trouble, as Nacional’s fans launched fireworks and other missiles onto the pitch.

“Scoring is always a good thing”, said Cauteruccio in his post match interview. “It’s good to start the new season on such a positive note. I think this was a good step forward for the club”.

Nacional manager Juan Carlos Osorio blamed the result on the artificial pitch. “Our club is not used to practising, much less playing matches on artificial turf” he said.
