Sebastian Giovinco has agreed terms with MLS side Toronto.

Juventus and the Canadian team have agreed Giovinco will be allowed to move once his contract expires in the summer.

However, La Gazzetta dello Sport is now reporting the deal may be brought forward after Juventus were secretly furious at the player for leaving the Turin-based side.

They claim the Serie A club are now considering letting Giovinco leave in March, even though the player’s preference is to remain with the Old Lady until the end of the season. They will not give him game time between now and the end of the season, and by letting him leave early would be able to save themselves some money on his salary.

The paper report Juve will cover the loss of Giovinco by bringing in Sassuolo’s Simone Zaza, a player for whom they have a £15 million buy-back clause.
