Mirallas’ Everton side were held to a 0-0 draw by West Bromwich Albion after the Belgian refused to allow regular penalty taker Leighton Baines to take the ball away from him.

Despite the incident, Toffees boss Roberto Martinez is desperate to keep hold of the player, who has been one of the few stand-out performers in his otherwise struggling side so far this season.

However, reports in the Daily Mirror claim that Spurs chief Mauricio Pochettino is ready to launch a raid on his side’s Premier League rivals to prize away the 27-year-old, while he’ll also throw in the out of favour Lennon as part of the deal.

Spanish champions Atletico Madrid are also believed to be interested in Mirallas, meaning that Everton could face a battle to keep hold of the player during the remaining days of the January transfer window.

Lennon meanwhile is believed to be keen on a move to Everton, having made just three Premier League starts for Tottenham this season.
