Sam Allardyce is looking to strengthen his midfield…
West Ham United are set to sign Manchester United stalwart Darren Fletcher on loan for the rest of the season, according to the London Evening Standard.
The Scotland international has found it hard to get in to the team at Old Trafford during this campaign with expensive new arrivals at the club having shunted the long time player out of the starting XI.
Not only is the 30-year-old likely to be at the Hammers until the summer, but he could stay afterwards as his contract with the Red Devils ends in six months.
Obviously any permanent deal would depend on how well the midfielder does during his loan deal at the East London side.
This move could see the former favourite of Sir Alex Ferguson strengthen the middle of the park for the Upton Park outfit. Kevin Nolan has had to play in a deeper role recently despite being more suited to a position just behind the striker.
