Ahead of the FA Cup clash the Cambridge team have been warned that swapping shirts won’t be free…

Cambridge United host Manchester United in the fourth-round of the FA Cup, and the cash-strapped League Two club have warned their players that it’ll cost them £39.99 if they choose to swap shirts, reports the Daily Star.

Cambridge players can be forgiven for getting excited about the possibility of playing opposite some of the Premier League’s biggest star players, and will be desperate to grab their own memorabilia from the massive night for the club and their careers.

However, the League Two club are keeping a close-eye on their finances with Cambridge boss Richard Money stating:

“We’re not wealthy enough to give any of our shirts away,” said Money.

Whether the £39.99 price-tag will put off any of The U’s players will be found out in tonight’s kick off. The potential sight of captain Wayne Rooney and £59.7m star signing Angel di Maria could prove too difficult to ignore…
