Which Arsenal Ace Is Refusing New Contract…?

The Portuguese international’s contract is set to expire at the end of this season and has been demoted to third in the pecking order for the La Liga club.

The Gunners have been linked with the right back and another Valencia star; Jose Luis Gaya, as part of an impressive double deal.

And Valencia boss Santos has revealed that the club don’t even technically own Pereira anymore which you’d therefore assume means he’s signed a pre-contract agreement with a new club.

“We’ve also decided to let two more players leave. One [Pereira] is a player who technically isn’t ours anymore, but we have nothing against his professionalism,” said Santos, reports Daily Star.

“In the face of the second half [of the season], those who are with us are whom I believe can provide us with many things.”

With both Krystian Bielik already signed and Villarreal defender Gabriel Paulista thought to  be well on his way, Arsene Wenger looks to be working a bumper January transfer window to ensure the Gunners make the top four at the end of the season.
