Spurs to reward in-form striker with pay rise.
Tottenham Hotspur want to hand a new contract to in-form striker Harry Kane after his recent run of goals in the side, according to the Daily Mirror.
Kane has been one of Spurs’ best players this season after fighting his way into Mauricio Pochettino’s first-team plans and becoming regarded as one of the top young talents in the country.
The 21-year-old, currently earning around £20,000 per week, only recently signed a new contract at the start of the season, but is now set to see his wages rise to closer to £35,000 per week.
This would be a fitting reward for Kane, who must now be hoping for a call-up to the England squad after showing himself to be one of his country’s most lethal goal-poachers this term.
Tottenham also hope his new deal will tie the player down until 2020, as it may not be long before top clubs start to take notice of his superb ability.
