Liverpool To Sell Mario Balotelli If They Can Find Buyer This Month

The Italian has failed to impress since his £16m summer move from AC Milan.

Liverpool will sell flop striker Mario Balotelli during the January transfer window if they can find a buyer willing to take the controversial Italian international off their hands, report the Express, with the Reds having accepted that they are unlikely to recoup the £16 million fee that they paid to AC Milan to secure Balotelli’s services during the summer.

Balotelli was bought ostensibly as the replacement for Barcelona-bound Luis Suarez in the summer, but it hasn’t happened for the former Manchester City man at Anfield and he is yet to score a Premier League goal for the club, with his only strike so far coming in the Champions League against Bulgarian side Ludogorets Razgrad.

The player has been linked with a number of Serie A sides during recent weeks as the likelihood of Balotelli returning to Italy seems to have increased, but many may be unable to stump up the funds to secure a permanent deal for Balotelli, with a loan move that could turn into a permanent one at the end of the season perhaps being a solution to suit all parties.
