Roberto Mancini keen on linking up with Roberto Mancini once again.

Former Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini is lining up an audacious raid on his former club to seek the signing of world class box-to-box midfielder Yaya Toure, report the Mirror, with Inter Milan believing that the Ivory Coast international is willing to accept a 50% wage cut to abandon the Etihad Stadium in favour of a surprise move to the San Siro.

Toure’s time at City over the past year or so has been dogged by rumours that he is unsettled at the club, despite the fact that his goals helped them to the Premier League title last season, and Mancini clearly believes that he can capitalise on this uncertainty by luring Toure to the San Siro to help his Inter rebuilding job.

Mancini managed to alter the role of Toure during his time as manager of City, with the Ivorian becoming a much more potent attacking threat during his time at the club after joining from Barcelona, but it would still be a surprise if Toure repaid the Italian’s faith by taking a huge pay cut to move to Serie A at this stage of his career.
