Nou Camp star Neymar has demanded that Cristiano Ronaldo is punished for the petulant and violent behaviour that led to him being sent off during Real Madrid’s win over Cordoba over the weekend.

Comments quoted by the Daily Mail illustrate that whilst the Brazilian has some sympathy for Ronaldo’s reaction to apparent provocation the Barcelona youngster is still insistent that the Bernabeu star be hit with a ban.
‘Those of us playing as forwards are exposed to provocations and intimidation and sometimes you lose your nerve,’
‘It’s clear we cannot do that under any circumstances. He must be punished because of the aggression.’ added Neymar.
Clearly if Ronaldo was given a hefty ban then this would only serve to assist Barcelona’s push to overhaul their arch rivals in the race to secure the La Liga crown.
Real Madrid face Real Sociedad this coming weekend but follow-up that clash with potentially tricky encounters with Sevilla and Atletico Madrid and should Ronaldo be suspended from those fixtures then Carlo Ancelotti’s side could drop points which could assist Barcelona greatly.
