The country’s FA have taken the highly unusual step of releasing a list of 30 players who they consider to have a good chance of making the squad for the next FIFA show-piece event.

Chelsea target Jurgen Damm makes the cut, as does as-yet uncapped Leon ‘keeper William Yarbrough (though he has dual American citizenship, and the US are reportedly also keen to bring him into their own national set up). Jesus Duenas from Tigres also looks certain to have an international future.

With Mexico involved in both the Copa America and CONCACAF Gold Cup this summer, we could be seeing some of these faces sooner rather than later.
