Bust-up between team-mates leads to neck injury.

Everton youngster Ciaran O’Loughlin has been taken to hospital with a neck injury after an alleged bust-up between himself and another player on the training ground, according to the Daily Mail.

The 17-year-old was involved in a tussle with another member of the club’s youth team, and police are now set to look into the incident that has clearly left one of those involved badly hurt.

O’Loughlin, the player in hospital, is considered a bright prospect by those at Goodison Park, and has been with the club since the age of eight, though he certainly faces a big challenge to get into Roberto Martinez’s starting lineup ahead of the established international star Tim Howard.

This incident will no doubt be a big setback for the youngster, though it remains to be seen how the club themselves will deal with the matter as they have released a statement saying that they will not be commenting on it further.

A Toffees spokesperson is quoted as saying: “The matter is being investigated internally and the club will make no further comment.”
