Colombian internationals past and present met up in Spain this week as Real Madrid ace James Rodriguez met his idol, Carlos Valderrama and posted a picture of the two on instagram.

The pair seemed happy to be in each other’s company as they were pictured smiling on Rodriguez’s Instagram account alongside a message which translated as, “Visit from the Great 10. My idol, my admiration.”
The young Colombian recently won the Puskas award at the Ballon d’Or Gala, for his goal against Uruguay in the 2014 World Cup and Valderrama is a keen admirer of his talents.
“James Rodriguez already showed how good he is during the past FIFA World Cup,’ he said.
“The single fact that he managed to adapt so well to a group which already had several veteran and established players, simply speaks for itself.”
