The 26-year-old began the season as one of Tottenham’s first-team regulars, starting in their first 11 Premier League matches.
However, he has made just one substitute appearance in their last 11 league games, having fallen behind Ryan Mason in Mauricio Pochettino’s pecking order.
Spurs may well be willing to offload Capoue, but he is not top of Sevilla’s wish-list.
The La Liga outfit have switched their attention from Bordeaux’s Gregory Sertic to PSG’s Adrien Rabiot.
If they are unable to sign Rabiot, who has also been linked with Spurs, Sevilla are likely to settle for Capoue.
