Always an exciting event in the footballing calendar, fans are known to wait eagerly with Jim White and co. on their screens all day as they hope for some last-minute deals for their club.

Drama is always guaranteed as some clubs leave it late to bring in the players they want, and in the last couple of transfer windows some of the very biggest names have been signed just before the deadline passed.

Mesut Ozil to Arsenal was an example last season, while the Gunners also left it very late to bring in Danny Welbeck from Manchester United this year, while the Red Devils were frantically trying to get their loan move for Radamel Falcao done on time.

The petition for the day to become a holiday has been started by Sky Bet, and can be found at Change.org.
