Figo is just the latest in a long line of candidates that includes the likes of David Ginola, Jerome Champagne and Michael van Praag – and of course the ever present Sepp Blatter.

But here at CaughtOffside, we think Figo just might be the best man for the job, and here’s why:

He’s young enough to know how to search for things on the internet.

The former Portuguese international said when he Googled FIFA, the first search term that came up was Scandal and he wanted to change this.

Does Sepp Blatter even know what Google is? Doubtful.

…but old enough to be the face of Just For Men.

Don’t let his sleek, coiffed and perfectly even black head of hair fool you, this man has years of life experience.
