Stuart Pearce Quits as Nottingham Forest Manager

Former playing favourite leaves the City Ground.

Stuart Pearce has left his job as Nottingham Forest manager after an alarming run of poor results according to the BBC.

The 52 year old took over at the City Ground last July but his side sits in mid-table in the Championship after a run of just one win in their last eleven games in all competitions, albeit that coming in a last gasp win against near neighbours Derby County.

It was Pearce’s second spell in charge of the side he represented for 12 years as a player, his previous spell being as a caretaker manager back in the 1996/97 season.

Pearce’s side had started the season brightly, going unbeaten for their first ten matches, but slowly but surely things have begun to go sour for the former England international.
