The Italian tactician insists he is happy with the Welshman’s performance, even though he was seen as missing some simple chances, which he also did in another recent home game.

Still, Real strolled to a 4-1 win over Real Sociedad, with Bale getting an assist for Karim Benzema along the way, and Ancelotti has attempted to play down speculation about the player’s future as whispers of interest from Old Trafford intensify.

“I don’t want anything more from Bale,” he said.

“He put in a great performance. “It is true that he missed a couple of chances but he also provided a great assist to Benzema.”
