Tottenham Hotspur Finally Get Rid Of Benoit Assou-Ekotto! Whacky Left-back Leaves White Hart Lane At Long Last

Posted by

Tottenham Hotspur have released Cameroonian left-back Benoit Assou-Ekotto, 624 days after his final appearance for the White Hart Lane outfit.

The 30-year-old, who spent the 2013-14 campaign on loan at Queens Park Rangers, has been left twiddling his thumbs this season, having been left out of Mauricio Pochettino’s Premier League squad.

Assou-Ekotto is one of football’s whackiest personalities. He hit the headlines in 2010 when he admitted that he plays the sport for the money, not because it is his passion.
