The pair join Liverpool and Real Sociedad, who have both been linked to making pre-contract offers to the 22-year-old.

The striker’s contract ends in the summer, which means clubs can now offer him a deal which would start at the beginning of the next campaign. Any team that signed him would have to pay the Clarets £3-5 million in compensation.

The top two Premier League sides are interested in Ings in order to increase their quota of homegrown players with a promising star.

Tottenham Hotspur are also keen on the youngster, with their recent signing of 18-year-old Dele Alli showing their commitment to bringing in English players with potential.

Despite all of this Burnley manager Sean Dyche will still be trying to keep hold of the forward if he can.
