It seems a foregone conclusion Reid will leave in the summer…

West Ham have sent scouts to watch Senegalese international Kara Mbodj in what is likely another indication that Arsenal and Spurs target Winston Reid’s time is up at Upton Park.

The New Zealand international didn’t move in the January window, despite being rumoured for an Arsenal switch according to Metro.

However, Reid’s contract with the Hammers will expire at the end of this season and West Ham seemingly believe it is a foregone conclusion that the 26-year-old will not sign an extension, and will leave the club in June.

The Daily Mirror reports that Sam Allardyce is keeping an eye on Genk defender Kara Mbodj as a result.

And there are even claims the club attempted to sign him before the the transfer deadline passed on Monday, but couldn’t work a deal as the player had still not returned from the African Cup of Nations…
