Aspas has been the subject of much criticism due to his stuttering Liverpool career but he has gone on to be hugely impressive for Spanish club Sevilla this season as his remarkable goal record of one goal every 71 minutes eclipses some of world football’s greats.
The striker’s most recent goal came on Wednesday night against Real Madrid and while he isn’t expected to continue in this vein of form it does suggest there may be a brighter future than first thought at Liverpool for him.
