Arsenal and Liverpool could both be involved in the chase for Pedro later this year…

Barcelona winger Pedro Rodriguez has sparked interest from both Arsenal and Liverpool after admitting that he could leave the Spanish club come the end of the season, after growing frustrated at his role within the squad.

The summer arrival of Luis Suarez has left him on the periphery of the team. With Lionel Messi and Neymar primarily taking the other two attacking roles, Pedro has found himself on the bench more often that not…

The 27-year-old has been with the Catalans for 11 years and has enjoyed plenty of success during his time at the club, particularly under former manager Pep Guardiola.

Arsenal already have a wealth off attacking players in their squad, but both they and Liverpool could benefit from a player that brings some much-needed width, as well as goals to his current employers.

It seems a move to England could happen. Pedro, who was quoted by the Metro, said: “Every year it’s complicated to play here because I’m competing against the best players on the planet.

“It’s difficult to be 100 per cent happy, but I feel comfortable here. Those of us who have fewer minutes want to play.

“I don’t know if they’ll ask me to leave. I’m happy here and I want to continue but I don’t know what might happen tomorrow. We’ll talk at the end of the season.”

The Spanish international has scored 96 goals in 298 games for the club, winning 16 major honours including two Champions League successes. He also has 48 caps for his country, winning both World Cup 2010 and Euro 2012.
