Racing Striker Going To Sao Paulo

The twenty-two year old striker Ricardo Centurion has signed a four-year contract with Sao Paulo.

Ricardo Centurion, one of the heroes who brought the title to Racing Club last year, is now part of Sao Paulo who have gained 70 percent of his rights for 4.2 million euros.

The player started his career with Racing in 2012. After just one season in the first team the club started receiving offers from European teams who showed great interest in the player.

At the end of 2012 he was close to joining the Russian Premier League, but the deal fell through when he had to undergo ankle surgery that forced him to stayed in Racing.

After being on loan with the Italian side Genoa he came back to Racing last year and helped them the becomes kings of Argentina again.

Sao Paulo’s coach, Muricy Ramalho, praised Centurion and said the Argentine is a great fit for his team.

“He’s the type of player we were looking for, because he is fast and an excellent dribbler. Centurion comes to make our team stronger. Here he will have everything he needs to play his best football and help the team”, said the coach.

Centurion will team up with experienced players like Luis Fabiano, Alexandre Pato, as well as Alan Kardec and Paulo Henrique Ganso.
