Emirates Stadium boss backs White Hart Lane star for Three Lions cap.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger may well be sick of the sight of Harry Kane following his two goal salvo in the north London derby but that hasn’t stopped him urging Roy Hodgson to hand the striker an England call-up according to The Sun.

21 year old Kane, who has netted 22 goals in all competitions this season, has already more than proven himself at Under 21 level so one imagines a senior call up is on the horizon.

Wenger believes it’s a call-up Hodgson should make before another nation comes calling.

“When you’ve scored the number of goals he has and you don’t put him in, someone will give him a passport in another country.” Wenger stated following his side’s 2-1 defeat at White Hart Lane.

Kane has bagged eight goals in ten Under 21 appearances and is sure to feature in Hodgson’s next national team squad.

The Tottenham man is eligible for the Republic of Ireland but one imagines it won’t be long before he’s decked out in Three Lions attire.
