Tottenham Lead Chase For £25m Unhappy West Brom Striker

West Brom want £25m.

Unsettled West Brom striker Saido Berahino looks increasingly likely to exit the club in the summer, and according to the Daily Mail, Tottenham are in pole position to land the forward – but he’ll cost a whopping £25m.

Spurs and Liverpool have been monitoring the 21-year-old for a while, and were set to battle it out in the January transfer window with offers of around £15m mooted, yet the asking-price has been ramped up by the Baggies.

The England U21 international has had an unsettled season so far and is fed-up of life in the West Midlands.

Most recently, the 21-year-old has been fined by the club for giving an unauthorised interview last week in which he expressed his yearning to move onto “bigger things”.

This appears to be the final straw for the Albion, with the striker now heading towards a £25m exit from the club in the summer.

With Danny Ings as Liverpool’s primary target at the end of the season, who will demand a significantly lower fee with just one year left on his contract at Burnley, Tottenham can pounce on the West Brom attacker.

The possibility of Berahino lining up alongside Harry Kane is enough to have Spurs believing such a partnership could fire the club to Champions League football.
