Luis Suarez Reveals How He Overcame Barcelona Goal-Drought

Luis Suarez is coming into form at just the right time for Barcelona..

Barcelona’s record signing Luis Suarez ended his relative goal-drought over the weekend, the Uruguayan having not netted since the 3-1 home victory over rivals Atletico Madrid in early January, with one of his side’s goals in a 5-2 win over Athletic Bilbao.

Suarez has struggled somewhat since his move to the Catalan giants as he tries to get accustomed to being part of a superstar line-up, as opposed to being the main man, as he was at former club Liverpool

In a highly entertaining fixture against Athletic Bilbao on Sunday evening, Suarez did find the net and later revealed that he remained calm despite all the publicity surrounding his lack of goals.

The former Anfield man told the club’s official website (via Sky Sports): ““I wasn’t nervous, (But) I was very worried because I am very self-critical and I worry when I can’t help the team with everything I have to offer.”

After a damaging defeat against Real Sociedad last month, Barcelona have been in sensational form, winning five La Liga games in succession with their magnificent attacking trio clicking into gear.

Barcelona have moved to within a point of league leaders Real Madrid and the Calatan giants will have their sights set on reclaiming their position at the summit of Spanish football.
