Wellington Phoenix host Melbourne City at Westpac Stadium on Saturday in a match that could potentially help shape the finals series.

After two straight losses the Phoenix are in danger of losing touch with the top two, but a win here puts Ernie Merrick’s side right back in the mix.

Melbourne City were totally outclassed in derby against the Melbourne Victory last week and need a win here to maintain its position in the top six.

Both sides go into the game relatively unchanged, however City welcome back goalkeeper Tando Velaphi from suspension and it’s likely he’ll take his spot back in between the sticks in place of Andrew Redmayne.

Wellington seem to have lost momentum following the end of the Asian Cup break, but they can take some positives out of their loss to Western Sydney last week.

The Phoenix dominated play in most aspects, with only poor finishing preventing them from at least grabbing a point in Penrith.

So, will the Phoenix maintain its strong home form? Or will City spring a surprise?

Tune in to find out!
