A team bus in Colombia has been attacked by rival fans…
A group of fans wearing shirts from Deportes Tolima, a first division side in Colombia, attacked a bus from Independiente Medellin that was driving back to the team hotel this Thursday.
Independiente Medellin had just beaten Deportes Tolima 2-1 at the Estadio Manuel Murillo Toro in Week 3 of the Colombian Primera A when the incident occurred.
Vladimir Marin, who scored the second goal for Independiente, was injured in the attack; with the Colombian star hit by a brick in his left eye.
Fortunately, the brick broke the window of the vehicle before hitting the face of the player. “He could have had dire consequences if it had hit him first,” explained the club doctor later.
