Former Chelsea defender won’t celebrate if he scores against his former club

David Luiz has revealed that he will not celebrate if he manages to get on the scoresheet when his current side Paris Saint-Germain take on his former club Chelsea in their Champions League second round clash.

“If I score against Chelsea I won’t celebrate out of respect, but of course I would be happy,” said Luiz to the the Express.

The defender left Stamford Bridge for the Parc des Princes in the summer for a fee of around £40m and has scored on two occasions for his new club, including the opener in their 3-2 victory over Barcelona in the Champions League group stage.

The 27-year-old also made light of his contribution to the game the last time the two teams met in Paris where, as a Chelsea player, he scored an own goal which helped PSG secure a 3-1 victory in the first leg.

“Last year I scored my first goal for PSG in this game, but of course I want to do my best for the team, for the club,” he joked.
