Van Gaal Can’t Wait For Manchester United v Arsenal FA Cup Clash

Van Gaal is continuously leading Man United through games despite below-par performances.

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has admitted that he his looking forward to the FA Cup quarter-final clash against Arsenal next month after his team overcame a scare against Preston North End to secure their place in the next round.

The cup represents the best chance of a trophy for both teams and will make for a finely contested encounter and van Gaal is relishing the challenge.

Man United have been drawn at home and have to be considered favourites considering the Gunners’ terrible record at Old Trafford – they haven’t won their since 2006, losing every game there since.

Van Gaal’s side certainly have the mental edge over their opponents, but the Dutchman is still expecting a tough game.

“The most important thing is that we have a draw at home,” the Man United boss told the clubs official website.

“In FA Cup matches, I believe that is important, so I am pleased that we get to play against Arsenal at home. Every game in the FA Cup is difficult to win because every team is giving everything.”

The winner of the tie will no doubt be favourites given the amount of confidence they will gain from eliminating a direct rival.
