Due to the heat in the middle-east during the summer, a World Cup in the conventional period is considered next to impossible by most.

A Winter world cup then became an option and it seems as though it looks set to take place mid-season with November 2022 set as a possible start date.

According to the reports, FIFA will meet up in Zurich next month to finalise the decision with the European footballing calendar likely to be interrupted.
