The club hero played under the Scot at Old Trafford…
Sir Alex Ferguson has had to share a plane with Manchester United legend Roy Keane, reports the Guardian.
The pair famously fell out when the Irishman left Old Trafford in 2005. Since then both have had a go at each other in their autobiographies.
Notable points included Ferguson claiming that the hardest part of his former skipper’s body was his tongue, and the ex-midfielder saying that his old manager’s book contained “basic lies”.
They were just three rows apart as they flew back from Chelsea’s match with PSG on Wednesday. To make the situation more awkward, former United ace Paul Scholes was stuck between his former teammate and ex-boss. Throughout the journey the trio were stuck in an increasing silence. By the end they must have been mightily relieved to have been able to leave the plane.
