Bentley trying out something new in his retirement…
David Bentley, who signed for Tottenham Hotspur for a sizeable £18m fee in 2008 and was dubbed as the new David Beckham, tried his hand at Gaelic football on Wednesday night.
Bentley called time on his difficult professional career last summer at 29-years-old, having been without a club for over a year, and eventually falling out of love with the sport.
The so often forgotten winger throughout his playing days has taken a turn at gaelic football – a sport with more similarities to rugby than football – but Bentley gave it a go, and even impressed with a three-pointer.
