One of the defining games of the Premier League season takes place on Sunday as Liverpool and Southampton go head-to-head, with huge top four implications at stake.
Saturday’s results have already shaken up the race for a Champions League spot. The Saints dropped out of the top four after Arsenal’s win, but Manchester United’s defeat at Swansea means that Ronald Koeman’s team can go third with a win.
Meanwhile, Liverpool, still seventh in the table, will go to within two points of United if they can take all three points back to Anfield.
Shane Long and Morgan Schneiderlin are available again after injury for the hosts, for whom that news will come as a huge boost, but Liverpool remain without captain Steven Gerrard and Lucas Leiva. Raheem Sterling could be fit to start after coming off the bench against Besiktas on Thursday.
