Duro says that Mendes flew to Manchester to meet United’s chief scout Martin Ferguson, and the pair discussed the return of the Portuguese megastar, but when Ferguson fed the info back to Louis Van Gaal it was shut down.
Ronaldo has been consistently linked with a return to Old Trafford for the best part of a year, but recently the story has died down.
