Jose Mourinho Has Sly Dig At Arsenal’s Cosy Manager Arsene Wenger

Chelsea are currently 12 points ahead of the Gunners in the table.

Jose Mourinho couldn’t resist a jab at rival Arsene Wenger with no love lost between the two, after stating that the Arsenal manager had a “dream job”.

Speaking on Goals On Sunday on Sky Sports, the Chelsea boss stated that Wenger was able to wait for success and has the job security which is abnormal at a top European club.

Clearly referring to Wenger’s period of one FA Cup in 10 years, Mourinho was hinting that any other club of Arsenal’s calibre would have relieved the Frenchman of his duties.

The history between the two has become well documented and tension intensified last season when Mourinho referred to Wenger as a “specialist in failure”. The led into the fixture at Stamford Bridge between the two sides in October where Wenger shoved Mourinho.

“At this moment he has a dream job that we would all love to have,” Mourinho said.

“Every manager in the world would love to have the stability he has. By being year, after year, after year with the chance to build, to buy, to sell and wait for success.”

This isn’t something new and Mourinho is just reiterating that Wenger works under different pressures to his pears.

However, the Arsenal boss will certainly point at the amount of money Mourinho has had available to him at his previous clubs, whilst the Gunners were forced to sell players to finance their stadium.
