Major Transfer Blow For Manchester United As Doctor Fears Top Target’s Career Could Be Over After Horrific Injury

Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United for almost a year now.

Bookmakers Paddy Power still offer very short odds – 6/4 – on the 25-year-old joining the Red Devils when he leaves the Stadio Olimpico.

However, Strootman may have played the final game of his professional career!

Strootman has been plagued by knee injuries in recent months and, after undergoing an unsuccessful operation, former Roma club doctor Mario Brozzi, is very concerned.

Brozzi fears that there may be no way for Strootman to end his cycle of injury setbacks.

“My impression is that the surgery on Strootman’s ligament did not go perfectly,” Brozzi is quoted as saying by The Guardian.

“I don’t know what happened to his knee, but his Cyclops syndrome results from a problem in the ligament’s position.

“The cartilaginous damage is determined by the extensive deficit. Now, if this is the situation, I see no way out. But it’s not up to me to say whether further surgery is needed.”

Strootman has played seven games for Roma this season. His first did not come until November, due to another injury lay-off.
