The Serie A side seem to have labelled the player as the ‘heir to Paul Pogba’, as they are more and more convinced that the 21-year-old Frenchman will leave Turin in the near future.

Juve may be in with a good chance of signing the Belgium international as he has claimed that club legend Zinedine Zidane and current ace Andrea Pirlo are two of his favourite players.

Witsel said: “My idol? Zidane , now I would say Pirlo who is a fantastic midfielder.”

However, the Red Devils are still hopeful of a transfer, with manager Louis van Gaal looking to strengthen his midfield. The Dutchman has said that a creative midfielder is his top priority in the next transfer window.
