Brendan Rodgers will have to act fast if he wants the Argentine…

Paris Saint Germain forward Ezequiel Lavezzi could be about to hand Liverpool a devastating transfer blow with reports claiming his agent is trying to push through a move to Inter Milan.

The Daily Star reports that Lavezzi’s representatives held talks with the Serie A side on Tuesday and a verbal agreement was reached between the two that a switch could take place.

The Argentinian has seemingly been on the way out of PSG since he irked manager Laurent Blanc by returning to training late and missing a club training camp during the winter break.

Lavezzi, along with fellow renegade Edison Cavani, was fined and suspended by the club on disciplinary grounds.

And despite the 29-year-old since returning to a starting role at the Parc des Princes, rumours of his exit continue to rumble on.

It’s not completely clear, as yet, where Lavezzi may end up this summer, but his list of suitors continues to shrink, with Napoli already ruling themselves out of re-signing him.

If Liverpool want to capture their man they may have to move sooner rather than later before a verbal agreement with Inter becomes anything more concrete.
