Hazard was speaking to Chelsea’s official website and was asked what the best piece of advice he ever received was. The flying winger began to recall what the former Barcelona striker had told him.

He said, “Yeah, you’re young, you have good quality, but work. You have to work. Every day you have to work if you want to be one of the best”. I remember that very well.”

The 24-year-old won a league and cup double while with Lille in the 2010-11 season before moving on to Chelsea in search of more silverware, though has only managed to lift the Europa League in 2013.

Hazard also heaped praise on former Lille manager Claude Puel adding, “When I turned professional Claude Puel was my first manager. He’s at Nice now. He was very good.”

The Chelsea man will be on the hunt to add to his personal trophy haul this weekend, as the Blues take on Tottenham in the Capital Cup final at Wembley, looking to take a fifth League Cup trophy back to Stamford Bridge.
