Tottenham’s Erik Lamela has claimed that their second leg round of 32 Europa League clash away at Fiorentina this Thursday is more important than Sunday’s Capital One Cup final against Chelsea.

Tottenham have own both competitions in their history, having lifted the League Cup four times – most recently in 2008 – while their wait for Europa League glory has been a longer one. Tottenham won the UEFA Cup twice, but the last time being in 1984.
