Lennon is low down in the pecking order in terms of England wide-men.

Everton loanee Aaron Lennon wants a permanent move but parent club Spurs could scupper any potential deal with their asking price, according to the Evening Standard.

Lennon moved on deadline day in the January transfer window to the Merseyside club after turning down moves to Hull City and Stoke.

The 27-year-old started in the 2-2 draw against Leicester City at the weekend and according to reports Lennon still harbors of an England call-up and feels that being at Everton will serve a better chance of getting him there.

Spurs however, are demanding a fee of £7 million which Everton have no inetntion of paying and the two clubs are clear a way apart in terms of valuation.

Having said that, the summer window is a few months away yet and negotiations will no doubt continue.
