Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere’s return to action has been delayed somewhat after news that he has had to have minor surgery on his ankle.

The England international has missed a large chunk of this season through injury, and now faces some more time out despite recently being reported as closing in on a return to the team.
The 23-year-old has had his critics in recent times, having not exactly performed at his best even when fit, but there can be no question that years of similar injury problems must surely have slowed down his progress.
