The North London club lost to the French side in the first leg of their Champions League last 16 tie 1-3 on Wednesday, meaning that they face an uphill battle to qualify for the next round of the competition, and the defeat has led to criticism of manager Arsene Wenger.

However, the Gunners face the Toffees on Sunday, with have a great chance of getting back in to winning ways against the out of form side. The Blues have struggled domestically this campaign despite enjoying a great run in the Europa League.

The 19-year-old believes that they will be able to do this, but isn’t taking Roberto Martinez’s side lightly. He said:

“That’s the good thing about football, that straight away you get the chance to play again, show people it was an accident and bounce back. I think we just need to focus on that game, play the best we can, be united and hopefully be on the same run we were on before.”

He added:

“Everton have got a lot of good players, especially up front like Romelu Lukaku and Kevin Mirallas. They’re really good players with good technique and they’ll score goals so we need to be careful. It’s going to be a hard game because they need points that they’ve missed throughout the season. We know they’re going to go 100 per cent.”
