Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has recently bemoaned the lack of a ’20-goal-a-season striker’ in his squad.

The Dutchman has pointed to a number of different reasons as to why his multi-million pound squad isn’t operating as it should.

His latest admission is odd though, considering he has three world class forwards in his squad in Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie and Radamel Falcao.

Gary Lineker took twitter and stated that Van Gaal may have found his prolific striker capable of reaching the milestone he wants, if he continued to play Rooney up front all season.
